Wine Tasting with Common Wealth Crush!
Share
Join us on Wednesday August 26 as we welcome Kylie from Common Wealth Crush for a complimentary wine tasting.
Kylie will be in the shop from 4 - 7pm sharing some Late Summer / Early Fall hits as we begin to roll into a change of season. We'll have 3 bottles on-hand to try...
FAMILY MEAL ::
Channeling the conviviality and fellowship of both Sunday dinners and restaurant staff meals, this light and bright red will pair with any dish on the table. It can satisfy both those seeking a light red or a dark rosé. Family Meal follows the tradition of the food-friendly Cerasuolo wines of Italy’s Abruzzo region, but with a distinctive Virginia spin.
MISE ::
Pronounced /meez/, this wine is a love letter to the orange wine movement which has taken the world by storm over the past decade. However, what does orange wine look like and taste like in Virginia? Typically warm growing seasons lend themselves to a juicy, easy-to-drink style, and we think Mise personifies a type of orange wine which is accessible and delicious… and doesn’t take itself too seriously.
GHOST IN THE SCENE ::
From grapes with non-vinifera parents. It is a chillable, light, and bright red comprised mostly of Chambourcin and macerated Vidal Blanc, but it’s definitely more soulful than most of your vinifera friends.
We will also have full bottles of the 2024 Joy School on-hand and a case of the 2025 Joy School Stubbies!
COME OUT AND SAY HELLO!
